Q1: How did you get involved with the wedding industry?

Answer
Linnyette Richardson-Hall: I got started by..getting hitched!! True story!!

Q2: Why do wedding pros get burned out?

Answer

Linnyette Richardson-Hall: Burnout happens because people take on too much without being realistic as to what they can reasonably handle.

Q3: How can wedding pros get out of burn out mode?

Answer

Linnyette Richardson-Hall: The easiest way to get out of “burnout” is to be honest about your capabilities and rethink YOUR needs. Seek support from those around you. Additionally, consider taking some time away from work if you’re especially burnt out. During this time away, make sure to relax properly. One way of doing this is by using some Delta 8 THC carts, for example. They can lower stress and anxiety levels, which may be causing burnout. Hopefully, that will allow people to fully relax and clear their minds. Then, they’ll be able to return to work with a positive mindset.

Q4: What’s the best way to schedule your calendar between clients and family?

Answer

Linnyette Richardson-Hall: The best way to make the “schedule” work is to be clear that your family comes FIRST. Clients will come and go..but your family will ALWAYS be present. Don’t sacrifice them for money.
Q5: Should wedding pros have clear business hours?

Answer

Linnyette Richardson-Hall: ABSOLUTELY! If every other business can..what’s the reason you CANNOT? Your time is valuable. By crafting and STICKING TO your business hours, you create the necessary boundaries needed in business.

Q6: How should wedding pros prioritize?

Answer

Linnyette Richardson-Hall: Simple – priorities are based on importance and urgency. Create a work schedule that incorporates daily tasks and needs.

Q7: What if you have problems turning off work mode?

Answer

Linnyette Richardson-Hall: Most people do..no matter their field. Baby steps..set up a “fini” time..no matter what’s going on, you “check out” at that time.

Q8: How should you clarify your limits in the number of jobs that you take on?

Answer

Linnyette Richardson-Hall: Set limits by understanding what you can reasonably do without losing your mind. Base it on staffing, income potential and your desired schedule.

Q9: How should wedding pros handle vacations, birthday or holidays?

Answer

Linnyette Richardson-Hall: Like everyone else does – special, personal occasions DESERVE special, personal attention. Schedule that time off!!

Q10: Can taking up a new hobby or interest be good?

Answer

Linnyette Richardson-Hall: Yes, indeed! In order to grow and be grounded, please indulge in things OUTSIDE of the wedding biz. Your psyche will thank you

Q11: How should food, sleep and exercise be included in your schedule?

Answer

Linnyette Richardson-Hall: As a part of your daily schedule. You need at least 7 hrs sleep in order to function. Don’t cheat yourself. Good eating habits and a consistent pattern of exercise will keep you running on all cylinders!

Q12: When should you consider outside help?

Answer

Linnyette Richardson-Hall: Consider outside help at the beginning of your biz, not when you are overwhelmed. By factoring that need at the outset, you can budget accordingly. Internships are a great way to get help and do a good deed in return.

Q13: Are there ways to cut time by using apps or software to be more productive?

Answer

Linnyette Richardson-Hall: There are plenty of apps out there and they can be helpful. Carefully choose the ones with most impact on your biz.

Q14: Should wedding pros schedule time to unplug from their mobile devices etc.?

Answer

Linnyette Richardson-Hall: See Q7! Of course, turn that phone OFF and immerse yourself in the personal world that matters most!!

Q15: What would you like everyone to take away from this #WeddingMarket Chat?

Answer

Linnyette Richardson-Hall: Please know that while being in this biz is great..it’s not the “end all”. Cultivate & appreciate your LIFE! At the end of the day…family matters and so does your peace of mind. Do what makes you happy and what brings joy to your soul. Don’t let anyone or any biz destroy that.
