I am a photographer who is interseted in shooting Destination weddings. I would love some advice on how to go about doing this. All help is appreciated.

Check out www.afwpi.com They are an association for wedding professionals and specialize in destination weddings. You can contact someone there that can give you names of contacts in your area.

I am on the advisory board for the central Valley AFWPI chapter. This is a good way to meet people in the industry that are doing event all over. By becoming a member you will get the information for brides and grooms from all over the US. This will help you find the destination wedding you might be looking for

I am working very hard in my area to stop the "clicks" I am using the AFWPI to help do that. In my area we have a hugh problem with people bashing other vendors. It's time that it stops there is work for all of us.

Our chapter had it's first mixer last week. I believe that the community leaders sets the tone for the membership. I don't think we will have "clicks" in our group.

I'm the marketing director for Travel Leaders Travel & Cruises. We've been helping couples plan their destination weddings and honeymoons for 23 years. I am also the president of Weddings and Events of Memphis, a non-profit organization that host wedding seminars on a quarterly basis to brides and their families in Memphis. My name is Lindsay the current President of the Destination Wedding Association and the owner of Weddings on the go! www.destinationweddingassociation.com and www.weddingsonthego.com What the Destination Wedding Association does is create an educational way for either a travel agent or a wedding planner to create a successful program. We are all about the education, we are not some free marketing type place that will have you take a test and magically you become a Destination Wedding Consultant. Instead you are offer various courses on how to "marry" the travel and wedding planning into creating a successful Destination Wedding. And there are varied levels of becoming a Certified Destination Wedding Consultants based on so many factors like how many years you are in the business and the courses you have successfully passed. Like I said this is not pay a fee and get the title. We want couples who stop by the Destination Wedding Association website to know they are getting the best. A person who took the extra step to become educated to give them the very best.

Also for the past 12 years I have owned Weddings on the go! a destination wedding company located right outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We are a travel agency that has been in the community for almost 40 years.
