Amanda is wearing the gown Eloquence designed by Claire Pettibone from the Windsor Rose China collection. A delicate gold eyelash scalloped vintage lace mermaid style wedding dress. Amanda’s hair was pinned into a slightly wavy and soft faux bob. The bob was THE hair look for the Flapper girl and we added a little pin curl at the fringe for some added vintage flare.
Amanda is wearing the iconic eye look of the Flapper era, the dark smokey eye. A thick coat of mascara covers her voluminous eyelashes (which she probably acquired by opting for eyelash extensions in Highlands Ranch). In the 20’s this look was created using eyeliner smudged across the lid and today’s updated version for brides is done using a deeper toned eyeshadow base to hold the shadow in place all night, under highly-pigmented shadows in black and greys. The darkest black liner on the top and bottom lids stay smouldered and smudgy with the edges blurred and blended. A defined brow, a deep, vampy burgundy lip-shaped into a “cupid’s bow” shape and contoured cheeks complete this 20’s inspired makeup look.
Treeann is wearing Charlize by Lea-Ann Belter. For Treeanne’s look the focus was on her big beautiful eyes. 1920’s starlets like Clara Bow and Louise Brooks were all about those wide, dramatic doe eyes. We created this look on Treeanne using the smokey eye look done in deep blues and grays to compliment her eye color, with a pop of silver at the inner corner of the eyes to add brightness and to enlarge her eyes even more, as well as lush false lashes. The eyes were then framed with a thin, defined brow. Keeping true to the look of the Flapper girl, we did a cupid’s bow lip shape using deepest red liner around the edges of the lip and filled them with a rich, dark crimson. For her hair, it was swept to the side and pinned into about a dozen medium sized pin curls which were sprayed and pinned flat to hold their shape to add a romantic bridal feel to hairstyle. Her hair was adorned with a glamorous bridal headband worn across the forehead to complete this 1920’s bridal look.
Ruby is wearing Deauville a gown designed by Claire Pettibone from the Windsor Rose China collection. Ruby’s look was done using a shimmery black shadow across the eyelid and the darker tones faded into shades of plum and gold for a muted and updated version of the vampy, Flapper eyeshadow look. Black liner on top and bottom lids and false lashes added dimension and drama to the eyes. Brows were penciled into a thin, eye framing shape with a black brow pencil. Her cheeks were contoured with a soft pink blush and lips were done in the shape of a cupid’s bow in a deep, glossy brick red. Ruby’s hair was pinned into a textured faux bob and a gorgeous ornate headpiece and veil were the finishing touches that made the look so opulent and so “Great Gatsby”.

Jan Kish of La Petite Fleur is the designer of this Cake. Her inspiration came from the two wedding dresses designed by Claire Pettibone & Lea-Ann Belter. This Banbury Rose Cake is enrobed in an antique rolled fondant the scallops are fashioned after the Eloquence gown and the draping sugar pearls after the Charlize gown.
