The stunning gown and veil were custom designed by Whitney and Marc Bouwer along with her stylist at the time, Diane Johnson. Whitney wanted a fitted gown, but one that was not revealing, with a non-traditional veil. The 40,000 gown was worn with over 800 guests in attendance as her father John Houston walked her down the aisle on the grounds of her estate in Mendham, New Jersey. The Whitney Houston Collection realizes half a million dollars at Heritage Auctions in Los Angeles.
