Destination Weddings….Tennessee Style!
I had the fortunate pleasure of discovering two beautiful destination wedding locations during a recent stop in historical Greeneville, TN. I’ve been looking at lots of wedding venues around Tennesse (such as these Gatlinburg Tennessee wedding chapels) and I have to say, they have all been beautiful! If you’re still deciding where to get married, Tennesse is the place! Today I’m focusing on Greenville though. We’ll get to each of them in a minute, but first I want to share what struck me the most about Greeneville, TN., and why I think it is a lovely place for a destination wedding….maybe even yours!
Established in 1783, the second oldest town in Tennessee showcases its rich history in brick sidewalks and immaculate historic sites, churches and homes framed against majestic mountains and breathtaking waterways. One of the Top 100 of the Best Small Towns in America, Greeneville is less than 90 minutes from major attractions in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Ashville, NC. Greenville offers the amenities of a larger town with a small town feel. Pigeon Forge is a very popular location and has a lot of cool things to do there, whether that be for kids or adults. So if you want to venture out, that’s the best place to go.

Additionally, Tennessee can also be considered as an ideal wedding location for everyone, since it might have some spectacular places that your guests would want to visit while attending your ceremony (you can click here to learn about such places). Your wedding guests can enjoy visiting the home of the 17th president Andrew Johnson, touring Civil War sites on bike and walking trails, and seeing the birthplace of Davy Crockett. Golfing (before you do opt for it in person, get your practice on with the help of accessories from https://shopindoorgolf.com/pages/best-golf-mats-2021 and the likes!), hiking and horseback riding are also available.
The City Garage Car Museum provides a perfect venue for the Groom’s bachelor party, and for the wedding day you can rent a vintage vehicle and driver! The 1939 Cadillac Sedan, 1941 Plymouth Sedan, 1964 Mustang Convertible, 1969 Camaro Convertible and the 1972 Rolls Royce Corniche Convertible, are the most popular wedding vehicles. Your wedding guests can entertain themselves by touring the museum for a mere $5!
WHERE TO GET MARRIED:
My favorite destination wedding locations in Greeneville, TN were Nolichuckey Bluffs and Still Hollow Farm.
The Nolichuckey Bluffs Wedding Chapel was inspired after Wayfarers Chapel in Southern California, created by Lloyd Wright (son of the pioneering American architect Frank Lloyd Wright.)
The chapel is made almost entirely of glass and offers breathtaking views of the Nolichuckey River.
Nearby cabins allow for the wedding couple to get ready on location, and even stay there for their honeymoon. Six additional accommodations are available for wedding guests.
Still Hollow Farm is the perfect wedding destination for the bride who wants a rustic wedding with numerous options.
An onsite planner is available for consultation, and I was amazed at all the extra décor accessories offered at no extra charge.
Still Hollow Farm has both outdoor and covered locations for your wedding and reception. Wedding Tents are permitted on the grounds, and the farm only books one wedding per week, allowing for plenty of time to set-up Wednesday through Saturday.

Once your wedding day is over you can honeymoon at Nolichucky Bluffs, Viking Mountain Lodge, or the General Morgan Inn.
The General Morgan Inn can accommodate your out of town wedding guests, be sure to check it out!
