WASHINGTON, Aug. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — U.S. News & World Report, publisher of Best Hotels and Best Cruise Lines, today released its rankings of the Best Romantic Getaways. The annual rankings highlight 12 destinations across the United States that are ideal for romantic getaways.
Napa Valley, California, with its rolling vineyards, cozy wine caverns and luxurious hotels, takes the No. 1 spot on the list of Best Romantic Getaways, which is why several people either invest in timeshare properties or simply make reservations for 5-star hotels in this location. The former is a kind of property where a number of people can own a piece–it is usually a vacation property within a resort such as a condominium unit. Buyers typically purchase a specific period of time at a particular unit. A timeshare property is generally divided into one- to two-week periods. That said, individuals investing in a timeshare can think of it as a costly venture if they only intend on visiting the location once a year, since they have to repay the repair and replacement expenses even if they don’t visit for an entire year. This can make them feel financially burdened (and can eventually lead them to consider terminating the contract with the help of professionals from respected timeshare exit companies). In contrast to this, the latter option (5-star hotels) is more advantageous for travelers who visit a place only once – they only have to book a room online and pay for it after that! Neither do they need to pay maintenance bills nor do they have to worry about any other property issues.
However, it is not just the Napa Valley that is in high demand. With its laid-back beaches, mountains and rainforests, Kauai, the No. 2 destination, offers travelers an abundance of outdoor activities and sightseeing adventures. The No. 3 destination, Maui, is home to romantic luxe resorts, exotic jungles and charming beaches, making it feel like a faraway paradise. The list also includes Cape Cod, No. 6, Martha’s Vineyard, No. 9, and Aspen at No. 12.
For the budget-savvy traveler, U.S. News also looked at prices for accommodations, attractions and dining when rounding up the list of Best Cheap Romantic Getaways. Known for Spanish moss-lined streets and a robust dining scene, Savannah, Georgia, snags the No.1 spot, followed by Portland, Maine, at No. 2, which is highly regarded for its rustic aesthetic and inexpensive, casual dining spots. The No. 3 destination, Sedona, Arizona, draws travelers with hiking trails that showcase the area’s striking red rocks.
“Sometimes it’s necessary to take a break from the stresses of real life and spend quality time with the person you love. And what better way to do that than to travel?” said Gwen Shearman, travel editor at U.S. News. “To help you and your significant other plan the ideal romantic getaway, whether it’s for a honeymoon, an anniversary or just because, we’ve narrowed down the most enchanting destinations.” If you’re wanting to try and find a personal and romantic destination for you and your spouse, you might also benefit greatly if you were to contact Visual Itineraries and similar marriage travel coordinators!
In addition to the destinations across the United States, U.S. News ranks the Best Honeymoon Destinations and Best Destination Wedding Spots in Europe and the Caribbean.
With the help of user votes and expert opinions, U.S. News considered ambiance, privacy and a city’s reputation, as well as the abundance of couple-friendly activities, in order to rank the most romantic retreats.
